Video download helper converter issues

Video DownloadHelper addon has stopped working the last week. I tried using earlier versions but still the same problem. When downloading a vid, I'll check its progress (Tools/ Downloads) and it either just hangs doing nothing or flickers with a FAILED at the end of the description.
