I've had Densha-De-Go and the controller for the Dreamcast for a while now I'd even invested a few hours in playing the actual game, but the accuracy required is crazy.
Most parallel ports on most computers (Amiga, C64, PC, etc have (at least) 8 true digital pins that one can interface with for either input or output. It's an external CD-ROM Drive that plugs into your PC via the Parallel Port. It comes with its own Pcmcia card which offers a Parallel Port cable dongle. I think that, nowadays, due to the sheer amount of updates that'll try and download and install (at once) on a fresh Windows 7 installation, it's nearly impossible to have them actually all install and succeed. The case I have installed this machine in didn't have a PC Speaker installed by default. Therefore I used the same 4-pin header to rig up an 8ohm speaker from Jaycar.
